Overnight Walk/Camping
Description: Starting at the Merrica Ranger's Station we will walk ten kilometers to Newton's Flat and set up camp for two nights. Sunday will be a day walk of 14 kilometers and Monday we will return to the cars.
This will be a good trip for people new to overnight walking and would like to give it a try.
Spare sleeping bags, packs, tents etc. are available to borrow.
Nadgee Nature Reserve is a wilderness area with beautiful beaches, headlands, sea caves and heathland areas. All walking will be on fire trails, beaches or tracks. A permit is required with limited numbers, so get in early. Numbers need to be finalized about two to three weeks beforehand for booking. Call Helen for details.
