Walk Coordinator(s): Diane Moon and Eric Moon
Meet: 09:30 - Myrtle Mountain picnic area and lookout
Grade: Moderate/Hard
Distance: 8 km
Description: Walking along fire trails, over hilly terrain with a couple of very steep inclines - hence the 'hard' component of the grading. The walk is through tall eucalyptus forest with lush, ferny understory and some impressive tree ferns. An opportunity for panoramic 360-deg views on a clear day.
Todays walk went well, there were 15 of us. It was quite warm with lots of sweating and puffing up the hills, of which there were many. Great views albeit a little smokey. Cake, tea and coffee at the end. :-)
