 PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WALK HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Robyn Hanrihan and Len Gazzard have decided to postpone/cancel next weekend's walk/camp to Creewah because of concerns about the likelihood of very low attendance.  A large number of regular walkers are currently overseas, and that, combined with Mothers' Day will inevitably impact on the number of us who are able to walk.

Len and Robyn regret the change of plan, and they have asked me to forward their apologies to anyone who was planning to walk.  Hopefully the walk will happen later in the year's program, or perhaps next year.

Meet: 14:00 - Nunnock Swamp picnic area on Packers Swamp Rd
Grade: Moderate
Distance: 12 km 

Description: Loop walk around Packers Swamp. Good boots needed. Roads and track with some off- track. We will do a short walk around the swamp and to the hut there before continuing on to the place we are staying. Where we are staying is on Glen Allen Rd, which is off New Line Rd.  We will have balloons marking the driveway.  People can either camp or there is a studio space (a large room), for people to use their thermarests and sleeping bag - depending on numbers.  A BBQ would be a good idea for the evening meal. 

For those walkers with a 4WD or AWD Nunnock Swamp picnic area can be reached by travelling up Brown Mountain then turning left on to Packers Swamp Rd.  Continue along Packers Swamp Rd until you reach the picnic area. Alternatively, non-4WD vehicles can travel up Tantawangalo Mtn Rd, turn right onto New Line Rd until you see signs to Nunnock Swamp Picnic area on Packers Swamp Rd. For those who don't know it, Creewah is in the triangle formed by Bombala, Bemboka and Candelo.
