Am forwarding this request from the National Parks Association.
It will take less than 1 minute to ring Barry O'Farrell's office and leave a message which could count towards saving our National Parks from recklessness.
Help call on the NSW Government to abandon hunting in national parks
Call the NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell's office with a simple message TODAY:
"I would like the Premier to withdraw his support for recreational hunting in national parks"

Why?
"Game Council of NSW boss suspended over illegal hunt claim"

Given the content of the story, there can be no confidence the Game Council of NSW can manage a hunting program. Recreational hunting puts park users at risk, National Parks and Wildlife Staff at risk, makes managing parks effectively difficult and threatens the environment, including native animals.
We are also asking supporters to contact their local MP today and call for an end to recreational hunting in national parks off the back of this latest media story. We need the Liberal and National MP's standing up to the Premier on this issue. Please note, if your local MP is a member of the Greens or ALP, they already oppose recreational hunting in national parks so why not ask them to come out and make a public statement about it in the local press.
It is important we act today to put pressure on the government to respond to public calls on this important issue that threatens public safety and the environment.
